My Approach   As a therapist, I am informed primarily by dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure therapies, behavioral therapy, cognitive theory, and mindfulness based perspectives. I provide a mindful, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for clients. I strive to cultivate a collaborative relationship with my clients throughout the therapeutic process in order to be most effective and helpful. I utilize talk therapy as well as teach behavioral and mindfulness skills for use with yourself and others.

As a mental health professional, I aim to provide the most appropriate and effective services through the use of evidence-based and best practice models and approaches, while holding myself to the ethical standards of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Washington State Department of Health.

My current treatment specialities include:

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) I was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by Behavioral Tech LLC, and will introduce DBT skills if I believe they would be an effective part of meeting your goals in therapy. I am currently a consult team member of DBT Eastside in Bellevue, WA in order to provide gold standard treatment.
  • Exposure and Response (Ritual) Prevention (ERP) I have specialized training in Exposure and Response (Ritual) Prevention through the International OCD Foundation, also known as IOCDF by attending their General BTTI. The Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) is an in-depth three-day intensive training course in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) for mental health professionals who are treating individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders.
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) As a trauma-informed therapist, I have received clinical training and consultation through Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington to provide Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, an evidence-based therapy for treating PTSD and trauma.

Who I work with In my current practice, I work primarily with adults and adolescents (ages 13 and older). If you have any questions regarding my ability to work with you, please contact me for a consultation. I am able to refer to other healthcare providers in the area if I find that your inquiry is outside of my clinical expertise.
