About Me
-
Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, I moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 2012 after completing graduate school in the Washington, DC, area. Since my initial move to Seattle, I have continued to gain valuable clinical experience in a variety of treatment settings. In 2016, I opened my private practice in the Seattle area, offering both in-person and virtual treatment for individuals across Washington state.
Over the past 15 years as a mental health provider, I have had the privilege of supporting hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals as they navigate challenges related to their mental health. This work continues to leave me feeling deeply grateful, while also reminding me how much there is still to learn and understand as both a clinician and a human being.
Becoming a mental health provider was not always the plan. In fact, I had originally planned to pursue a career in journalism. During college, I was able to have unique experiences such as writing stories and editing articles for a local magazine or spending a semester in Washington, DC working for a congressional news service. Although I intended to continue on that path after graduation, a meaningful experience I had ultimately changed the direction of my life.
While I have always loved the possibilities of a career in journalism, I have also felt drawn from a young age towards helping and caring for others. After completing my undergraduate degree, I had an opportunity to help facilitate self-care groups for women. Through this work, I was able to witness the profound impact of validation and compassion, especially for individuals who had experienced chronic invalidation or trauma within their communities. These interactions ultimately led me to pursue graduate school and a career in mental health.
Since my first day attending graduate school in 2009, I have never looked back.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Clients often describe me as validating and nonjudgmental, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and respected.
I also believe therapy works best when we make room for imperfection, both in ourselves and in the process. Progress is rarely linear, and treatment is not about doing it perfectly.
Together, we will clarify what you’re experiencing, identify your goals, and build practical, evidence-based skills to help you feel more grounded and empowered as you move forward.
